A Security Review at the Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade Museum

The Trident Manor team had the pleasure of visiting the Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade (TVLB) Watch House Museum in March 2024, to conduct an accreditation security risk management review. The TVLB is a charitable organisation which trains volunteers in maritime rescue, and the Watch House Museum showcases its rich and heroic history.

The assessment was led by Hannah Miller who evaluated the existing physical, technical and operational approaches that had been put in place. With many of the exhibits being hands-on, it was great to be able to observe the balance between security and interactivity and how this can benefit the visitor’s experience.

This locally run museum benefits from the loyal support of its community, and Trident Manor was pleased to be able to recommend pragmatic and proportional improvements to its security measures that aligned with its advantages and limitations.

Trident Manor would like to thank the TVLB for their hospitality. It was a pleasure to support this organisation, and we would strongly recommend a trip to the museum to any visitors to Tynemouth for some inspiring stories of valour.
