Security Design Services at Riba Stage 1
Monday, 29th July 2024
Trident Manor has been engaged in providing security design advice for a council-run museum in the North of England. The museum is at Riba Stage 1 with a team of architects for the redevelopment of the venue, to enhance the building and support the exhibition of loans from National Collections under GIS (Government Indemnity Scheme).
The early consideration of security aspects in the initial design stages has enabled several options to be considered for the protection of the museum’s assets. By working to incorporate defence in depth at Riba Stage 1, this venue is facilitating the concept of “designing-in security” which will significantly reduce security costs in the future, and ensure that security measures are integrated seamlessly into the building's design.
Trident Manor provides physical and technical security design services in the UK and internationally, and this year alone has supported in the designing of both major museums and smaller, locally-run venues. Our understanding of the operational and aesthetic needs of clients in the cultural sector (including those governed by local councils) makes us an ideal choice for professional security support during all Riba stages.
