Trident Manor Awarded Contract Developing Sector-Wide Security Guidance
Friday, 2nd June 2023
Following a competitive tender process Trident Manor has been awarded the contract to review and deliver updated security guidance in support of the Archives and Records sector in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Trident Manor has won a competitive tender process to undertake a review of existing security guidance used by the UK and Irish Archives & Records Association (ARA) and the broader cultural heritage sectors.
The present guidance, whilst comprehensive, is out of date and in urgent need of updating so that the guidance provided is relevant to the threats, risks, and vulnerabilities that exist today. The threat landscape is changing at such a rapid pace that even annual reviews may not be enough to keep pace. Trident Manor will work with the Association and wider bodies, nationally and internationally to develop guidance that is usable (for all sizes and types of venues), easy to follow, and pragmatic (financially and operationally).
Emerging threats such as cyber, protesters, and terrorism will be considered alongside more traditional environmental, social, and adversarial threats. Andy Davis commented, “It is a privilege to work with the ARA on developing security guidance that will be used for their members and others across the whole cultural heritage sectors.” “It is also a recognition of the professional services offered by Trident Manor, specifically with our Cultural Protection Services.”
Wherever you are based in the world and irrespective of whether you are a private venue, national organisation, or governmental/non-governmental body we can help you develop governance and guidance that can help protect your cultural heritage for future generations. For more information Contact Us.
