Trident Manor Delivers Cultural Security Reviews in Scotland
Wednesday, 11th December 2024
In December 2024, Trident Manor undertook several pieces of work in Scotland to support the United Kingdom's cultural community, including site assessments and evaluations.

December 2024 was an extremely busy time for the Trident Manor team, with national and international assignments. Part of the work undertaken included conducting two security risk assessments on the west coast of Scotland of venues wanting to exhibit items from national collections.
Both venues had totally different threats, risks, and vulnerabilities, with one being in central Glasgow and being part of a globally recognised educational institution, the other a smaller museum depicting the rich industrial heritage of the area where it was located.
There are so many factors that have to be considered when evaluating security at a venue and it must include understanding what is to be protected, its value and attractiveness to criminals, the risk levels, and security measures that exist. Once these are known and understood, it allows the team to identify ways of reducing the risks to acceptable levels by using physical, technical, operational measures, or a combination of all.
As a result of our visits, one venue was given a few recommendations to further enhance the levels of security that existed. The other, which had been previously visited, had delivered on recommendations that had been made previously by Trident Manor personnel, and no additional recommendations were made, and the loans proceeded.
If you would like support with forthcoming loans or exhibitions, the Trident Manor team has a level of knowledge and expertise that is hard to find anywhere else. Why not contact us for more information?
