Trident Manor Expertise Sought by Middle East Client
Thursday, 7th December 2023
Trident Manor's security risk management expertise was sought by a Middle Eastern client to quality assure work done by a global service provider for an 'Iconic' development.
Trident Manor's expertise was requested by a client in the Middle East following concerns raised about the quality and accuracy of a security risk assessment that others had undertaken. The significance of this is that the development is an iconic cultural development and the need for a balanced and proportionate approach to security risk management was necessary, as was the understanding of how cultural venues function.
A full documentary review was undertaken before visiting the site, this greatly helped understand the context of what was intended, any concerns that the client may have had, and the process that was being proposed by others to identify and design out any security threats.
On arrival in the country it was great to spend time with the client team, visit the site where the development is going to take place and hold meetings with the project team. This all allowed an understanding of where in the development process the project was, how accurate the initial security threat assessment was, and the accuracy of the initial assessment to help ensure project and future operational risks were managed.
Several significant gaps and inaccuracies were identified in the risk assessment process that resulted in potentially increased risks to the venue and future operations.
A full report was prepared for the client outlining in detail the issues that existed with the security risk assessment alongside other issues that could impact the safety and integrity of the site and its operations in the future. Andy Davis our Managing Director said, "If there are inaccuracies and mistakes in the security risk assessment it can impact not only the security designs but also the future well-being of the venue and people using it. If the risk assessment is right the risks of incorrect security designs are greatly reduced."
Just because an organisation is a global name does not mean that it has the quality or expertise to deliver the level of service needed when dealing with any type of major development let alone an iconic cultural one.
Trident Manor has the expertise and experience in delivering accurate threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments for major developments and clients, and the skills to introduce effective and proportionate security designs that will be of benefit to the end users of any venues, but in particular cultural ones.
