Two Security Reviews in Manchester

In early January of 2025, William Brown and Hannah Miller visited two world-class venues in Manchester to conduct security reviews ahead of their museum accreditation renewal.

The two listed venues, a museum and an art gallery, have unique strengths and challenges despite, being buildings of a similar age in the same city. This trip highlighted the fact that no two cultural venues are the same, and that threats and risks must be assessed on a case by case basis in order to develop a practical and proportionate risk management strategy.

These reviews enable venues to understand if any vulnerabilities exist and offer recommendations and solutions to reduce, manage, or mitigate the risks that exist and allow informed decision to be taken by senior management teams.
